Management of business operations including the execution of multimedia projects from pre to post production, research, writing, camera work, linear and non-linear editing, animations, graphics, DVD distribution, streaming, internet video creation, photography, web design, print design, digital restoration, project budget projections, fiscal management, tax preparation, and customer service. Consultant for audiovisual and digital media projects for business, academic, and residential clients including: proposals for video, photographic, multimedia software packages, digitization workstations and database software.  Developed new strategies of producing and providing access to video projects in the form of software and hardware suggestions, analog video conversion to DVD and updating video recording processes for classroom session productions.

Development and implementation of key words using natural language patterns and combining both user data and trends in categorization of query results for enhancements of online search tools in multiple areas such result to query mapping, segregation of content types based on projected audience. Creation of digital assets from original records and derivatives processes included: labeling original, data entry, scanning, OCR, PDF creation, quality control checks and troubleshooting for future improvements of the digitization workflow. Operation of redaction software used to provide quality assurance of secure personal information on public records. Organize, carry out, and track a data migration project from legacy data tapes and magnetic tapes into a currently usable digital format.

Image Specialist 6/2004 – 3/2005

Ohio State University – Huntington Archive

The physical and digital cleaning, sorting and scanning of art historical images, using Apple G4 computers, Adobe Photoshop CS and other Apple software for the creation of the largest online database of Asian and Indian artworks. This position consisted of a complete image creation workflow demanding attention to detail during every phase which included but was not limited to; Physical organization and quality control of photographic images and slides, Digital correction of image flows using standard procedures for creating archive and web usage files, File management for the proper creation and function of database index files

Research Assistant and V-Tel Video Monitor 5/2007 – 8/2007
Kent State University

Assistance with university based social research project for the State of Ohio, examining training needs of public library staff state wide. Duties included data entry, data quality control, troubleshooting of data processing, and survey analysis for statistical significance prediction of frequency using SPSS.  Operation and troubleshooting of a Polycom Video Conferencing System used to offer distance education courses for the university.Provided assistance to onsite staff in the form of critical analysis of the setup and operation of the video system for future university use.

Internships

Digital Projects Intern  8/2007 – 12/2007
Columbus Museum of Art

Creation of a digitization plan for over 350 pieces of art in the Schiller Collection, newly received art object photographs and acquisition reports that allowed the museum to add several valuable art works to their collection, and consulting services that have led to the development of new strategies for future digital projects.

Media Specialist Intern 9/2003 – 8/2007
Ohio State University – Classroom Services

Independent research, cataloguing, handling and projection of DVD, VHS, and 16M film collection. Establishing a ranking system for quality control of media collection which was used to determine replacement needs or reconditioning. Support for faculty and staff during the retirement of the approximately 16,000 16mm film collection in the form of making new contacts for preservation possibilities and managing the transportation of salvageable films to a secure location.

Current Volunteer Projects

Group ManagerColumbus Digital Adobe User Group
Organize speakers, venues, and sponsors for monthly meetings focused around Adobe products, use, and training. Since taking over as manager we have had a consistent venue, an organized lineup with meeting-themed giveaways, and an upgraded email campaign, social network presence and a website.

Production AssistantThe Journal of Short Film
Serve as primary assistant for branding and quality control. Recently spearheaded an initiative to create a more efficient and cost effective production and distribution model which cut the production cost by over 90%.
